Bridge on Parkway

Leo Adler Parkway is easy to access from the Guest House.

Enjoy a stroll or jog along the Leo Adler Parkway just one block from our property.

Across the street  you will find our beautiful  city park, public library and interesting Heritage Museum.

A few blocks from the Guest House is Historic Downtown Baker City with its restaurants, brew pubs, movie theatre, art galleries, book store and shops.

At the south end of town is our 18-hole golf course, Quail Ridge.

Drive about five miles to view and explore the fascinating Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.

Just a short drive from Baker you will find Phillips Reservoir, where you can fish, boat, camp, hike, bike or cross-country ski.

To enjoy a day of fresh powder skiing or Nordic trails, head up to Anthony Lakes Ski Resort (a one hour drive).  In the summer this is a great place to hike, camp and fish.

The location of the Guest House is ideal to take in many community activities such as the Shrine Football Game, Miner’s Jubilee, Memory Cruise antique car show and rally, Elkhorn Classic bicycle race, and Hells Canyon Motorcycle Rally.  Sports events of all kinds occur nearby at the fair grounds, sports complex, football stadium,  swim center, and even privately owned grass tennis courts.

Ten miles away, the small town of Haines celebrates July 4th with an impressive rodeo and fireworks.

A pretty drive around our area can include visiting Sumpter for a ride on the Sumpter Valley Railroad and a tour of  a gold mining dredge.
