Now you can choose to stay in our guest house as a vacation rental or get breakfast, too. Either way, it’s the perfect place for one or two guests to relax in your own private space. We’re just a few blocks from Baker City’s historic downtown and a short drive from an abundance of outdoor activities.
The guest house is a single unit separate from our home. It includes a cozy sleeping nook with a comfortable queen bed adjoining a warm and relaxing living room featuring nautical decor. The newly updated kitchen is clean and crisp, reflecting our Scandinavian heritage. A hot shower awaits you after a day of outdoor adventure, such as skiing the fresh powder at Anthony Lakes Ski Resort. If you opt for a B&B stay, you’ll get your choice of seasonal breakfasts, each filled with a hot homemade entree, side dish and beverage – delivered to your kitchen door. For those who want to prepare their own breakfast, our kitchen is stocked with the dishes and utensils you’ll need. For a third option, try one of Baker City’s restaurants only minutes away.
To experience Baker City, you can bike, stroll or jog along the Leo Adler Memorial Parkway next to the scenic Powder River. Or you can visit the Heritage Museum, coffee shops, stores, restaurants, brew pubs or parks within a short walking distance. The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center is just a short drive from the guest house. For more exercise, check out the YMCA’s pool or fitness center, or hit the links at Quail Ridge Golf Course. Check out our “Area Activities” page for more information about the abundance of recreational opportunities in our area. When back home to our retreat, you can enjoy a movie, read a good book or just sit in the peaceful backyard and relax. It is our goal to provide our guests with privacy and comfort in a setting that is both charming and friendly. Note: We’re listed on Vacation Rentals by Owner. (www.VRBO.com property # 376211)
